Will Cardok detract from the appearance of the surrounding area?
Once closed, passers-by will not be able to tell it is there. The unit will be in the down position other than when parking or removing the car from the lower deck. When it is in the raised position, however, Cardok has been ergonomically designed to minimise its visual impact.

Will I have enough space?
Advanced design and engineering has ensured Cardok has an extremely compact footprint. If there is space for a car there will normally be enough space for Cardok.

Can the unit be accessed when in the lowered position?
There are inspection hatches, one per deck, allowing comprehensive access even when in the lowered position.

Will there be much disruption while it is being installed?
Cardok is delivered as a turnkey solution. Depending on site conditions it can be operational in as little as 3 days from delivery.

Is there a support contract available to cover the maintenance of the unit?
Annual service is carried out by a qualified engineer to ensure optimum performance.

Is Cardok expensive to operate?
No. As it does not use a three phase power supply, Cardok uses only as much power per lift as it takes to boil a kettle.

Is it noisy?
No. The mechanism used to raise and lower Cardok is hydraulic.

I have a classic car which would require storing securely within Cardok for extended periods of time. How can I ensure it does not get damp and the vehicle is ready to use when I need it?
Cardok comes complete with a power socket to allow trickle charging of the battery during extended storage periods. The unit can also be configured to include ventilation, ingress extraction and dehumidification.

Can Cardok take the weight of any vehicle?
Cardok can lift up if a car is parked on top, It has been designed to lift five tonnes, with a safe working load of 2.5 tonnes per deck. A Range Rover, for example, is approximately 2.3 tonnes.

Can you monitor the operational status of my Cardok?
Yes, there is remote diagnostic capability within the control software.

Is it safe?
Cardok is completely safe. It is fitted with four infrared safety cut off beams. One per side, one front and back. When one of these beams is broken the mechanism instantly stops. There are also additional pressure packs which will stop the unit instantly on detecting an obstruction. In addition Cardok complies with the European Directive on Mechanical Storage Systems (PREN14010).
