Technical specification
Description of Mk II Cardok
THE PLATFORM IS LIFTED BY MEANS OF AN
ELECTRO-HYDRAULIC SYSTEM.
Electrical Requirement
240v single phase 40 amp supply
Power consumption
Cardok requires about the same amount of
energy to operate through one cycle as it takes to
boil a small kettle of water.
Structural Design
Design has been carried out using the latest finite
element software. However, site conditions need
to be expertly assessed to ensure that they
remain within defined parameters.
Each platform will support a load of 3.5 tonnes
and the total lifting capacity is 5 tonnes (i.e. 2.5
tonnes S.W.L. for each platform)
Surface Protection and Finish
Galvanised gutter and tank sides, giving
maintenance-free protection for the life of the
Cardok.
Standard platform
Durable coal tar epoxy finish in matt black with
non-slip additive on bottom platform surface. In
most inland locations this will give many years of
service before requiring maintenance.
Optional platform
High quality polyurethane finish in a selection of
colours. Bottom platform surface grey non-slip
specialist coating. This option will give improved
service before requiring maintenance and is
especially recommended for coastal locations.
Safety
Operation is by hand-held radio control device and
is “hold to run”. The operator must at all times
ensure that he or she has full visual command of
the moving platform and can react to stop the lift
from moving by simply releasing pressure from the
command button on the remote control unit.
Cardok is supplied as a fully assembled and
tested unit with a watertight tank. Any build up of
water in the sump (from vehicles dripping or
driving rain when the platform is raised) is
automatically pumped away.
General
A 40mm deep tray is provided on the top platform
and can be finished with a covering to match the
surrounding area (this covering can have a mass
of 1.4 tonnes without effecting the S.W.L. of the
platforms); therefore Cardok is almost unnoticeable
when in the lowered position. However
when raised the top platform and support posts
are very slender and constructed from fully welded
box section.
